- Braun & Cook (2012) erwähnen eine in Hannover erfolgte Erysiphe-Aufsammlung auf Averrhoa carambola* in den Anmerkungen zu Erysiphe russellii. Da nur die Anamorphe vorlag, die morphologisch etwas von der von E. russellii abwich, und keine molekularen Untersuchungen stattfanden, ist eine Zuordnung zu diesem Pilz unsicher.
