- Die Eigenständigkeit dieser Art wurde von Bauer et al. (2001) bestätigt. Nach Piątek & Prończuk (2006) ist es nicht sicher, ob auf Poa zwei verschiedene Jamesdicksonia-Arten vorkommen, da eine Überprüfung weiterer Wirte (z.B. Poa compressa) noch aussteht.
