- Taxon aus der Bremia lactucae-Gruppe; nach phylogenetischen Untersuchungen von Choi & Thines (2015) scheint die Sippe nicht einheitlich zu sein und könnte weiter aufgespalten werden. Demnach weicht insbesondere der Befall auf Helichrysum bracteatum ab. Befälle am einheimischen Helichrysum arenarium wurden bisher nicht mit entsprechenden Methoden analysiert.
