- Die Art kann zu ökonomischen Ausfällen im Zwiebelanbau führen und wird stark bekämpft. Sie ist an diversen Zwiebel- und Lauchformen in Kultur nachgewiesen, u.a. an Trockenzwiebeln, Schalotten, Winterzwiebeln, Luftzwiebeln, Knoblauch, Schnittlauch und Porree. Nachweise in wildwachsenden Allium-Populationen sind extrem selten.
