- Melanotaenium lamii Beer wird z.T. als eigenständige Art von M. jaapii abgetrennt (z.B. Scholz & Scholz 1988).
- Comment on responsibility
- Auch bei weiter Artauffassung von M. jaapii gibt es weltweit nur extrem wenige Nachweise. Scholz & Scholz (1988) nennen für Europa sonst nur Großbritannien als Land mit Funden an Lamium album. Es ist evtl. eine erhöhte Verantwortlichkeit Deutschlands zu vermuten.
- Comment on threat
- Der Befall an Teucrium montanum ist weltweit nur aus dem Jahr 1911 vom Hausberg bei Jena bekannt (Typuslokalität von M. jaapii und einziger Nachweis der Art bei enger Artauffassung). Mehrfache Nachsuchen am Fundort blieben erfolglos. Auf Lamium album gibt es aus Deutschland ebenfalls nur einen Nachweis, gefunden 1918 bei Großfurra (Thüringen) (Scholz & Scholz 1988).
