- Einzelne europäische Autoren vertreten die Ansicht, dass der Name G. alpinus durch den älteren Namen G. impressus C. L. Koch, 1847 zu ersetzen sei (Bonato & Minelli 2014, Popovici 2022). Die Datenlage der G. alpinus-Artengruppe für Deutschland und Italien weist aber darauf hin, dass eine taxonomische Revision hier dringend nötig ist und sich unter dem Taxonnamen in Europa vermutlich mehrere Arten verbergen.
