- Taxon aus der Bremia lactucae-Gruppe; die Sippe ist phylogenetisch nicht einheitlich (vgl. z.B. Choi & Thines 2015). Nach M. Thines (briefl. Mitt.) kommen auf Sonchus mehrere Bremia-Arten vor. Demnach sind Bremia stellata und die bisher dazu als Synonym angegebene Bremia sonchicola (Schltdl.) Sawada möglicherweise nicht konspezifisch. (Abb.: siehe Publikation für Abbildungsnummer)
