- In der Taxonomie und Herkunft dieser Art herrscht noch erhebliche Unklarheit. Mitunter wird auch der Name Arion vulgaris (Moquin-Tandon, 1855) verwendet und als Herkunftsgebiet SW-Frankreich vermutet (Arbeitsgruppe Mollusken Baden-Württemberg 2008).
