- Der Pilz wird oft als Uromyces appendiculatus (Pers.) Link (= Typusart von Uromyces) bezeichnet. Dieser Name ist jedoch nicht eindeutig auf den Bohnenrost zu beziehen, worauf bereits Klebahn (1912–1914) hinwies.
