- Comment on taxonomy
- Der Befall an Meerrettich wird als separate Sippe ausgegliedert (vgl. Hyaloperonospora sp. [an Armoracia rusticana]). Somit wird H. cochleariae enger gefasst als in Klenke & Scholler (2015).
- Further comments
- Die allgemein sehr selten gefundene Art wurde in Deutschland erstmals im Jahr 2001 nachgewiesen und war vorher vermutlich übersehen worden. Die Nachweise stammen von einer Salzwiese an der Ostsee, einer anthropogenen Binnensalzstelle und einem mit Streusalz belasteten Straßenrand. Mit der starken Ausbreitung von Cochlearia danica an Straßenrändern hat sich der potenzielle Siedlungsraum stark erweitert (Kruse et al. 2022).
