- In Deutschland ist der Pilz bisher nur als Anamorphe aufgetreten. Möglicherweise gehören die unter Podosphaera clandestina für Deutschland publizierten Angaben auf Spiraea spp. (u.a. Scholler 1996, Braun 1998, Brandenburger & Hagedorn 2006, Klenke & Scholler 2015) zu der auf vielen Spiraea-Arten parasitierenden, aus Nordamerika und Asien bekannten P. minor (vgl. Braun & Cook 2012, Braun et al. 2019). Molekulargenetische Untersuchungen an deutschem Material stehen noch aus; deshalb werden hier alle Wirte nur provisorisch zugeordnet (vgl. auch Bresinsky 2016, Kummer 2021).
