- Lithobius lucifugus ist in der subalpinen und alpinen Höhenstufe der Alpen häufig und weit verbreitet. Für Deutschland wurde die Art aus den Bayerischen Alpen und dem Allgäu nachgewiesen. In Sachsen wurde sie in Kellergewölben der Bautzener Altstadt gefunden (Belege im SMNG).
