- Die Art gehört vermutlich in die Gattung Hyaloperonospora, wurde jedoch noch nicht umkombiniert. Der einzige Hinweis zu einem möglichen Vorkommen in Deutschland stammt von Gäumann (1923), der unter Verbreitung „Thüringen“ nennt. Der Wirt Sisymbrium orientale ist ein Neophyt.
