- Die Zugehörigkeit der deutschen Populationen zu Bartramia laevisphaera nach Damayanti et al. (2012) bedarf weiterer Klärung, da die Morphologie dieser Pflanzen abweicht (z.B. dicker Zentralstrang im Stängel). Früher wurden die deutschen Vorkommen für B. stricta gehalten. Inzwischen konnte zudem gezeigt werden, dass B. stricta ein südamerikanisches Taxon ist; die im Mittelmeergebiet weit verbreitete Art gehört nach heutigem Stand zu B. aprica (Müller 2014).
