- Comment on taxonomy
- Wurde von Pseudomallada prasinus abgetrennt. Möglicherweise im Material vorhanden und mit P. prasinus verwechselt (Hölzel 1995). Neuere Untersuchungen zeigen, dass es sich bei P. abdominalis und P. prasinus um einen Artenkomplex handelt, von dem bisher nur P. prasinus eindeutig identifiziert werden kann (Duelli 2019, Duelli & Obrist 2019).
