- Im südlichen West- und Mitteleuropa und in Südosteuropa verbreitet. Die Vorkommen in Deutschland gehören zu den nördlichsten der Art und sind als warmzeitliche Relikte zu werten. Sie sind mehrere hundert Kilometer voneinander entfernt (nördl. Rheinhessen, Harz- und Kyffhäusergebiet) und auch deutlich vom Hauptareal isoliert.
