- Molekulare Untersuchungen haben gezeigt, dass sich unter der als Stenotaenia linearis geführten Art eventuell mehrere kryptische Arten verbergen (Wesener et al. 2015). Daher bedarf sowohl die Taxonomie als auch die Verbreitung dieser Art einer eingehenden Revision.
