- Der Name Uromyces gentianae Arthur ist für den Pilz nicht anwendbar, weil er bereits durch U. gentianae (F. Strauss) Lév. (= Puccinia gentianae (F. Strauss) Link) vergeben ist.

- Der bisher einzige Nachweis in Deutschland erfolgte 1937 in Mitterndorf bei Dachau, Bayern (Paul & Poelt 1954 als Puccinia gentianae, von Angerer & Poelt 1960 zu Uromyces revidiert). Der Pilz wurde vorher vermutlich übersehen und wird als indigen eingestuft.
