- Der erstmals 2004 in Deutschland nachgewiesene Pilz wurde vorher vermutlich übersehen und wird als indigen eingestuft. Cornus sanguinea ist in Deutschland bisher nicht zweifelsfrei als Wirt von Phyllactinia corni nachgewiesen (vgl. Kummer 2020 und Kummer 2021).
