- Die Aecien dieser Art gehören zum Peridermium oblongisporum agg.; neuere Vorkommen an verschiedenen Pulsatilla-Anpflanzungen in Gärten sind auf ihre Identität mit dem Rostpilz an Wildvorkommen zu prüfen.
- Comment on threat
- Die einzige in Deutschland aktuell bekannte Wildpopulation kommt in den Küstendünen bei Prora auf Rügen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, vor (Jage et al. 2016). Sie erscheint wegen Baumaßnahmen und der Zunahme des Badebetriebs nicht gesichert.
