- Glomeris malmivaga wurde von Verhoeff (1912) als Varietät von G. ornata Verhoeff, 1912 beschrieben und von Spelda (2005) in den Artstatus erhoben. Nach Wesener (2015) ist G. malmivaga Verhoeff, 1912 ein Synonym von G. ornata Verhoeff, 1912.
