- Die Art wurde früher zahlreich aus Deutschland an verschiedenen Veilchen-Arten belegt (vgl. Scholz & Scholz 1988). Aktuelle Nachweise liegen nur wenige vor (Kruse et al. 2020). Die Ursachen für ihren starken Rückgang sind unklar. Sie lassen sich jedenfalls nicht nur durch Erfassungsdefizite des ausschließlich an basalen Pflanzenteilen auftretenden und leicht zu übersehenden Pilzes erklären.
