- Bisher nur ein Nachweis aus einer Saline in Bad-Nauheim-Wisselsheim (Hessen). In der Probe aus dem Jahr 1928 (leg. Krasske) ist die Art massenhaft vorhanden. Ein Nachsuche ist bisher nicht erfolgt. Da die Diatomeenflora von Salinen in den vergangenen Jahren kaum untersucht wurde, ist eine weitere Verbreitung der Art nicht auszuschließen.
