- Aufgrund genetischer und morphologischer Untersuchungen (Bergsten et al. 2012) ist belegt, dass Suphrodytes dorsalis var. figuratus Gyllenhal, 1826 nunmehr als eigenständige Art S. figuratus (Gyllenhal, 1826) zu sehen ist. Bis zur Auftrennung des vorhandenen Belegmaterial von S. dorsalis Fabricius, 1787 ist die Datenlage als defizitär anzusehen.
