- Aurinia saxatilis ist eine beliebte Zierpflanze mit wenigen autochthonen Vorkommen in Deutschland. Hyaloperonospora galligena könnte daher eine indigene Art sein, jedoch stammen bisher anscheinend alle Angaben von kultivierten Pflanzen, auch wenn dies nicht immer ausdrücklich erwähnt ist. Die Sippe wird daher bis auf Weiteres als Neomyzet eingestuft.
