- Die große Art der Unterfamilie Laphriinae besitzt einen weiten Aktionsradius um ihre Jagdansitze, was mit geringen Populationsdichten einhergeht. Dennoch können ihre Bestände in verschiedenen Gebieten Deutschlands als stabil bewertet werden, u.a. in alten, großräumigen, lichten Kiefernwäldern in Nordost- und Süddeutschland, teilweise auf Truppenübungsplätzen. Ein akutes Aussterberisiko besteht nicht.
