- Diese noch unbeschriebene Art weicht im Wirtsspektrum und in der DNA-Sequenz klar von Entyloma podospermi ab, der einzigen bisher bekannten Entyloma-Art auf Scorzonera (Kruse et al. 2021).

- Der Brandpilz ist weltweit bisher nur an einem Fundort in Thüringen in einer Wildpopulation von Scorzonera hispanica nachgewiesen. Demnach könnte Deutschland eine erhöhte Verantwortlichkeit für die Erhaltung der Art haben.
