- Die Umkombination von der Gattung Peronospora in die Gattung Hyaloperonospora erfolgte durch Salgado-Salazar et al. (2020). Der auch gebräuchliche Name Hyaloperonospora iberidis (Gäum.) Göker, Riethm., Voglmayr, M. Weiss & Oberw. beruht auf einer nicht als solche erkennbaren Alternativversion des Artikels von Göker et al. (2004), die online verfügbar ist und nicht der gedruckten und demnach gültigen Fassung entspricht. In den beiden Versionen werden unterschiedliche Arten umkombiniert, ansonsten sind sie optisch und inhaltlich vollständig identisch.
