- Bei der Beschreibung der Gattung Neoepitriptus hat Lehr (1992) die Art arthriticus (Zeller, 1840) sowohl der Gattung Neoepitriptus als auch der Gattung Machimus zugeordnet. Aufgrund der äußeren Morphologie und der männlichen Genitalien ist die Zuordnung zur Gattung Neoepitriptus korrekt.
