- OSTSEE: Durch die HELCOM (2013) wird die Kleine Schlangennadel für die gesamte Ostsee als ungefährdet (Least Concern) eingestuft. Im Eulitoral der deutschen Ostsee ist die Art bis in die inneren Boddengewässer flächendeckend verbreitet, bevorzugt in den Phytalbeständen.
