- Die Gruppe umfasst alle Puccinia-Arten auf Ribes mit Wirtswechsel zu Carex, da sie morphologisch nicht oder schwer unterscheidbar sind. Hierzu gehören neben P. caricina, P. magnusii, P. pringsheimiana, P. ribis-digitatae, P. ribis-diversicoloris, P. ribis-nigri-lasiocarpae, P. ribis-nigri-paniculatae und P. ribis-pendulae noch weitere Pilztaxa, die in anderen Pilz-Wirt-Kombinationen vorkommen, aber keiner der genannten Arten zugeordnet werden können.
