- Neben Perofascia lepidii kommt auch Hyaloperonospora parasitica s.l. auf Lepidium vor. So werden Lepidium draba, L. latifolium, L. ruderale und L. sativum von beiden Taxa befallen. Vor der Beschreibung von Perofascia lepidii durch Constantinescu & Fatehi (2002) wurden die Befälle anders benannt und abgegrenzt. Ältere Fundangaben der von beiden Taxa befallenen Wirte lassen sich daher nicht eindeutig zuordnen, z.B. solche unter Peronospora lepidii (McAlpine) G.W. Wilson in Brandenburger & Hagedorn (2006).
