- Alle älteren Angaben zum Vorkommen von Arion subfuscus in Deutschland beziehen sich überwiegend auf Arion fuscus (s. Anm. unter A. fuscus). Nach neueren Erkenntnissen gilt dies jedoch nur eingeschränkt für Rheinland-Pfalz, Nordrhein-Westfalen sowie angrenzende Bereiche von Niedersachsen und Teile von Hessen, da hier beide Arten vorkommen (Kobialka et al. 2009).
