- Taxon aus der Golovinomyces cichoracearum-Gruppe; Qiu et al. (2020) zitieren sowohl den Lectotypus als auch den Epitypus von G. circumfusus, beide aus Brandenburg stammend.
- Further comments
- Entsprechend den Erhebungen von Qiu et al. (2020) scheint Golovinomyces circumfusus auf den Typus-Wirt (Eupatorium cannabinum) beschränkt zu sein. Ob auch die Befälle auf nordamerikanischen Eupatorium-Arten, u.a. E. purpureum, hierzu gehören, ist unklar, da diesbezügliche Untersuchungen bisher fehlen. Deshalb wird E. purpureum hier provisorisch als Wirtspflanze zugeordnet.
