- Die aus Nordamerika beschriebenen Art wurde erst in jüngster Zeit in Deutschland nachgewiesen (Kruse et al. 2016, Kruse et al. 2016). Den Autorinnen und Autoren zufolge muss offen bleiben, ob es sich um eine junge Einschleppung oder um eine bisher übersehene bzw. mit Peronopora conglomerata verwechselte Art handelt.
