- Kruse et al. (2017) haben gezeigt, dass der Urocystis-Befall auf Galanthus und Leucojum durch die gleiche Art verursacht wird und Urocystis leucoji Priorität vor U. galanthi hat.

- Nach Scholz & Scholz (1988) handelt es sich um eine weltweit seltene Art. Neben Deutschland nennen sie die Art nur für Tschechien, Rumänien, Österreich und die Schweiz. Es ist evtl. eine erhöhte Verantwortlichkeit Deutschlands zu vermuten.

- Der erst 1921 in Deutschland nachgewiesene Pilz wurde vorher vermutlich übersehen und wird als indigen eingestuft.
