- Nach Göker et al. (2009) und Lee et al. (2017) ist Hyaloperonospora brassicae phylogenetisch nicht einheitlich und besteht aus mehreren Sippen mit jeweils eigenem Wirtsartenspektrum, die jedoch bisher nicht als Arten beschrieben wurden.
- Comment on threat
- Die Art kann wirtschaftlich relevante Schäden an Blumenkohl, Brokkoli, Kohlrabi, Kopfkohl und weiteren Kulturpflanzen hervorrufen und wird gezielt bekämpft, u.a. durch Fungizide. Auch für Vorkommen an Wildpflanzen auf Äckern ist ein Rückgang in Folge von Pestizideinsatz wahrscheinlich.
