- Nach Schmidt & Braun (2020) ist Erysiphe pisi ein Artenkomplex. Nicht eingeschlossen hierin ist E. cruchetiana, die hier – Schmidt & Braun (2020) folgend – als eigenständige Art geführt wird. Die Sippe ist nicht leicht von Erysiphe trifoliorum zu trennen, weshalb Verwechslungen nicht für alle Fundmeldungen und Literaturangaben vollständig ausgeschlossen werden können.
