- Der Nördliche Stromgründling hat ein relativ kleines Verbreitungsgebiet vom Rhein bis in die Ukraine. Deutschland befindet sich zwar im Hauptareal, jedoch nicht im Arealzentrum. Die deutschen Bestände werden auf >1/10 und ≤1/3 der Weltpopulation geschätzt. Insgesamt besteht keine erhöhte Verantwortlichkeit Deutschlands für die weltweite Erhaltung der Art.
