- Offenbar eine obligat corticole Art der Breitlaubwälder, in Nordamerika im Sommer stellenweise häufig. Bisher nur zwei kleine Sporokarpien, die keine sichere Bestimmung erlauben (Thüringen, Müller unpubl.). Dies wären die ersten Nachweise der in Nordamerika deutlich häufigeren Art (Stephenson et al. 2001) für Deutschland.
