- Rhymogona serrata besitzt das kleinste Verbreitungsgebiet aller Rhymogona-Arten. Die Art ist auf den westlichen Dinkelberg in Baden-Württemberg (verkarsteter Muschelkalk) östlich von Basel beschränkt (Spelda 1999b). Das gesamte Areal umfasst knapp 100 km2. Aus der Schweiz liegt nur ein Weibchen vor, das vermutlich zu dieser Art gehört. Durch die Hochrheinautobahn besteht die akute Gefahr, dass ein großer Teil des Areals dieses Endemiten vernichtet wird. Für die Erhaltung von R. serrata ist Deutschland in besonders hohem Maße.
