- Das Aggregat umfasst alle heterözischen Melampsora-Arten auf Populus sect. Leuce, da sie morphologisch schwer unterscheidbar sind. Hierzu gehören M. larici-tremulae, M. magnusiana, M. pinitorqua und M. rostrupii. Außerdem werden nicht unterschiedene Melampsora-Befälle auf anderen Pappel-Arten einbezogen: M. allii-populina und M. laricis-populina.
