- Pontisch-pannonische, ostmediterrane Art, die nordwestlich bis zum Balkan, in die Slowakei, nach Mähren und in das pannonische Österreich einstrahlt. Anfangs des 19. Jahrhunderts donauaufwärts Vorstöße bis nach Oberösterreich: „um Linz herum auf Kornähren sehr gemein“ (Duftschmid 1805, als Melolontha floricola), daher glaubhafte alte Meldungen aus dem äußersten Südosten Deutschlands: Passau ca. 1830–40 (Kittel 1879; Horion 1957, 1958), jedoch keine Belege. Anisoplia austriaca wird deshalb nicht zum etablierten Artenbestand in Deutschland gerechnet.
