- Die Aecien dieser Art gehören zum Peridermium oblongisporum agg.; Angaben von Coleosporium cacaliae G.H. Otth auf Cacalia (= Emilia, Hasteola, Parasenecio) werden zu C. senecionis gestellt; ihre Zugehörigkeit zu C. cacaliae wurde schon von Klebahn (1912–1914) und Reimers (1964) bezweifelt. Das Coleosporium auf dem nordamerikanischen Eupatorium purpureum* (Raabe 1938) ist nur provisorisch hier angeschlossen. Es gehört eventuell zu C. eupatorii Arthur.
