- Die von Voglmayr et al. (2006) beschriebene Art hat eine boreal-alpine Verbreitung. Der bisher einzige Nachweis aus Deutschland stammt aus dem Allgäu (Jage et al. 2010), jedoch könnten sich ältere Angaben von Plasmopara geranii-silvatici Săvul. & O. Săvul. oder Plasmopara pusilla (de Bary) J. Schröt. an Geranium sylvaticum möglicherweise auf diese Art beziehen und müssen überprüft werden.
