- Die Art war in den alten Roten Listen von 1996 uneinheitlich bewertet worden: Mollenhauer (1996) hatte die Binnenlandvorkommen als „gefährdet“ eingestuft, Schories et al. (1996) die marinen Vorkommen als „Daten mangelhaft“.

- An Küsten häufig und oft Massenbestände bildend; auch an Binnen-Salzstellen regelmäßig zu finden; gelegentlich auch terrestrisch an nicht salzbeeinflussten Binnenland-Standorten.
