- Das Vorkommen der Art in Deutschland wurde 1998 vermutet (Kremer et al. 1982; Büchs 1988; s. Einleitung); erst durch Santiago-Alarcon et al. 2012 für Deutschland nachgewiesen. Die Art ist blutsaugend bei Menschen (Santiago-Alarcon et al. 2012)
