- Diese südeuropäische Art kommt in Mitteleuropa ausschließlich synanthrop vor (Jäger 2002) und wurde erst 2000 für Deutschland nachgewiesen; vermeintliche Freilandfunde betreffen Thanatus atratus. In Deutschland sehr selten, Bestand lang- und kurzfristig zunehmend.
