- Vaucheria undulata wird hier im Sinne von Rieth (1980) und Simons (1978) verstanden, welche Abweichungen in der Morphologie ihrer Algenfunde von der der Originalbeschreibung aus Ostasien einräumen. Sie wurde in der Vergangenheit wohl mit V. prona („V. hamata“) und V. geminata verwechselt.
