- Comment on taxonomy
- Die Gruppe umfasst die früher als einheitlich angesehenen Weißroste auf Asteraceae. Nach neueren Erkenntnissen handelt es sich bei Pustula helianthicola an Helianthus, P. obtusata s.str. an Tragopogon und P. spinulosa an Cirsium und Centaurea scabiosa um eigenständige Arten. Außerdem werden weitere Arten im Komplex vermutet (Rost & Thines 2012). Gegenwärtig ist die exakte Zuordnung von allen übrigen Parasit-Wirt-Kombinationen daher offen.
